A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced branded senior buyer or category manager to join this international retailer on a temporary basis, starting immediately up to three months potentially longer. Suitable candidates must be immediately available and not on a notice period.

The company is well known, premium retailer that has luxury braded ranges across a variety of product from, jewellery and accessories to fashion and gifting.

Your responsibilities will include:•Working with the category director to develop and deliver category/range strategy - end to end management of the category execution from research to customer experience• Report on weekly/monthly/annual performance margin, KPIs by vendor/supplier• Build a commercial supplier/brand portfolio - managing buying process, range reviews and reviewing performance • Develop relationships to maximise opportunities with new brands and product• Conduct business review meetings, providing analysis & feedback as requested• Competitor shop reports - identify potential gaps in the ranges and identify potential new suppliers and brands• Market research - visit tradeshows, meeting with existing supplier/vendors to review product, as well as identify new vendor/product opportunities• Manage the buying team• Management of the seasonal promotional calendar for the category• Negotiating trading terms and developing strategic plans

The successful candidate will have previous branded buying experience ideally in luxury brands including fashion and accessories.

This role is a mixture of remote working and office based so could be suitable for an experienced candidate who is available to commute a minimum of one day every two weeks to the South West of England.

As a temp, you will receive a competitive salary rate that is paid on a weekly basis as well as paid holiday and the opportunity to work within a creative and fast-paced retail head office.
