We are recruiting for a client seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to join their multi-award-winning, family-run construction company based in the Souh-West. Specialising in high-quality refurbishments, renovations, and extensions, our client caters to both commercial and high-end residential sectors, delivering tailored solutions with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Objective

To achieve company productivity goals through the successful delivery of projects in full, on time and in spec, in line with target cost plans and quality standards to complete customer satisfaction.

Job Overview
  • Evaluate and ensure all project targets are met
  • Survey new projects and meet potential clients to ascertain project requirements for pricing
  • Manage projects from concept to closure
  • Capture clients' requirements and create scope of works
  • Communicate customer needs to estimator and architectural technician
  • Manage design and estimating work to optimise operational efficiency
  • Create project plans including cost plans, programmes, and resource plans
  • Liaise with Operations Manager and sales team
  • Plan and provide appropriate resources for all projects
  • Provide proactive solutions for potential issues
  • Ensure projects adhere to timelines and quality standards
  • Recruit team members in line with succession planning
  • Source bona fide sub-contractors and specialists
  • Carry out project closure and capture performance information and lessons learned

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Suggest and implement improved systems for business benefit
  • Accountable for successful performance against targets/budgets
  • High interaction with customers to ensure correct specification and pricing
  • Review project requirements, changes, and costings with clients
  • Create project valuations for invoicing
  • Review performance of direct reports through monthly 1-2-1s and appraisals
  • Plan and implement work schedules with sales team
  • Responsible for project management from concept to review
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety on site
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and project progress reports
  • Escalate issues to Operations Manager
  • Manage financial aspects of sub-contractors
  • Make quick, concise, and correct decisions independently
  • Contribute to strategic growth plans for the business
