Estimator

Walker & Sloan are seeking a "Construction Estimator" to join a highly respected regional building contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects.

Our client work across the commercial, education, and residential sectors, and have a diverse portfolio of refurbishment and new build works, with project values ranging in value from 2 to 15 million.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for a range of construction projects, from small refurbishments to large new build works. As part of a well-established team, you will be working on a variety of projects across multiple sectors, and will be responsible for ensuring the profitability of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse project requirements, including reviewing plans and specifications, conducting site visits, and engaging with key stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate pricing.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive and competitive bids that meet client expectations.
• Review and analyse project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses, to ensure profitability.
• Continuously review and improve estimating processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimumof 3years of experience in construction estimating.
• Proven track record of delivering accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects ranging in value from 2 to 15 million.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimating software.
