Construction Project Manager Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager looking for your next challenge? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects from start to finish? If so, Signature Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for you to join our client, a leading facilities management provider.
This full-time maternity cover role is ideal for someone who can start as soon as possible. Youll be managing a variety of lifecycle and capital works projects, including refurbishment, renovation, and small works, across multiple sites in Bristol.
Construction Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple projects, ranging from small works to large-scale refurbishments ranging from £10,000 to £500,000
Manage full project lifecycle, from initial scope development to final handover.
Ensure all projects meet health and safety standards, including CDM regulations
Engage stakeholders, including senior leadership teams, commercial teams, and contractors.
Coordinate project delivery, often within tight schedules (e.g., school holidays).
Oversee health & safety standards, including risk assessments and method statements.
Obtain and assess contractor quotes, ensuring compliance with framework agreements, ensuring accurate costings, quotations, and budget control.
Ensure all documentation is up to date, including O&M manuals, AutoCAD drawings, and project tracking systems.
Construction Project Manager Key Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations
Proven experience in refurbishment, renovation, or fit-out projects
Commercially aware with the ability to manage budgets effectively
Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
Knowledge of risk assessments, method statements, and compliance procedures
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Previous experience working in occupied buildings is advantageous
Health & Safety qualifications: IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS, or equivalent.
Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and asset database systems.
