Randstad C&P are looking for an experienced ProjectQuantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of a high-profile civils and highways scheme based near Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role within a top contractor and work on transformative infrastructure projects. The role offers significant progression and advancement, in addition to join one of the top civils schemes in the UK!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project, from tender through to final account.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, forecasts, and valuations for large-scale civils and highways schemes.
  • Oversee the procurement of subcontractors, materials, and suppliers, ensuring best value and compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, resolving disputes and ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
  • Monitor site activities, ensuring costs and risks are effectively managed and controlled.
  • Work closely with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive commercial efficiency.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within major civil engineering and highways projects, ideally for a Tier One contractor.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and their commercial management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, with a focus on cost control and maximising project profitability.
  • Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying, construction, or commercial management (HNC/HND/BSc or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site.
