I am working with a well established construction company in the Bristol area who are looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their team due to the increase in workload they have on the horizon. They are looking for someone who has experience either on the Planned side OR Repairs and Voids side. Experience with social housing contracts and SOR's is also essential. This company offer good progression opportunities, support with qualifications and working from home flexibility.The salary for this role is £50,000 - £55,000.Skills needed in the Quantity Surveyor role:
  • Good experience working on social housing contracts
  • Previous experience of working on either the Planned side OR Reactive/Voids side
  • Experience is essential in coding/invoicing using SORs
  • Analytical thinking to problem solving and situational based problems
  • Contributing to teamwork working with clients and subcontractors building on trust, honest relationship
  • Organisation and time management skills to ensure projects are completed on time
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor role:
  • Undertaking surveys and produce specification of works using NHF or bespoke schedule of rates
  • Preparing final accounts and weekly / monthly valuations for clients
  • Proactively minimise overdue payments
  • Set in house and sub-contractor rates
  • Ensure best value achieved from suppliers
  • Review material and sub-contractor invoices / payments
