A well-renowned, privately owned construction consultancy are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team of approx. 40 working across their Northampton, Birmingham and Bristol offices. Our client is offering an excellent salary of up to £55,000 DOE, Enhanced Car allowance for hybrid/electric vehicles and excellent holiday with Xmas shutdown.

The Quantity Surveyor will work on a range of projects with values from £1 million up to £35 million. Our client are specialists in the industrial sector, particularly distribution/production units. They also work on commercial, education and leisure projects.

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

* Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets to ensure alignment with forecasts.* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including variations and tenders.* Conduct valuations, process payments, and handle final accounts.* Produce cost reports, forecast expenditures, and manage cost-related risks.* Oversee tender processes, evaluate bids, and recommend contractors.* Provide financial advice and updates to clients.* Ensure adherence to building regulations and contract law.* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers.* Assist in resolving cost and contract-related disputes.

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

* Minimum 2 years industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor * Client-side/PQS experience preferred but not essential* Experience within the industrial, education and/or multi-room sectors desirable but not essential* Good tenure* Full drivers license* Willingness to work in the Northampton/Bristol/Birmingham office twice a week
