Looking for a Quantity Surveyor in Bristol....

You will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of a fit-out project. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the project is delivered within the clients budget while maintaining profitability for the company. Fit-out projects typically involve interior finishes for commercial offices, retail & Industrial distribution centres.

Roles and responsibilities.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for fit-out projects based on design drawings, material specifications, and client requirements. This includes calculating labour, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
-Prepare tender documentation, including bills of quantities (BOQ) and detailed specifications, for subcontractor and supplier packages.
-Prepare and administer contracts between the fit-out company, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring clear terms related to scope of work, payments, time lines, and responsibilities.
-Assist in managing the projects cash flow by ensuring timely submission and approval of payment applications, as well as managing payment schedules for subcontractors.
-Evaluate and cost any changes in the scope of work, such as design alterations or additional client requests, and provide the client with updated cost implications.
-Identify potential financial risks that could affect the fit-out project, such as price fluctuations in materials or delays that increase costs. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

Qualifications.

-A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is typically required.
- 5 years experienced.
