Responsibilities as the Quantity Surveyor:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering cost and commercial management services across a variety of projects. Working closely with clients, stakeholders, and contractors, you will ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a full range of Quantity Surveying services from project inception to completion.
- Preparing cost plans, estimates, Bills of Quantities, and tender documents.
- Managing change, contractor payment applications, forecasts, and final accounts during the construction phase.
- Preparing commercial reports for client use.
- Collaborating with other disciplines to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Developing client relationships and delivering outstanding service in partnership with senior management.
Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:
- A BSc in Quantity Surveying.
- Strong knowledge of pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties.
- Experience with NEC4 ECC contracts.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in Civils, Highways, or Public Realm projects (desirable but not essential).
- Membership or working towards membership with RICS or an equivalent professional body.
