Quantity Surveyor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Bristol. The business has a growing presence in the South West, with projects in the pipeline across the commercial, extra care, healthcare and education sectors valuing up to 85mil. The business operates out of regional offices and has won a place on several local and national frameworks.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be either independently running your own scheme with the supervision of a member of the senior leadership team or as number two reporting into the commercial lead on a larger scheme.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
  • Manage sub-contract procurement
  • Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
  • Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
  • Deal with final accounts
  • Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key Requirements as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Experience working within a main contractor on schemes valuing circa 20mil
  • Experience administering JCT / NEC forms of contract
  • Must live in a commutable distance to Bristol and be happy to commute of office / sites
