Location: Bristol
Salary: 45,000 to 60,000 + package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a leading cost & project management consultancy in Bristol. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy and professional team, renowned for delivering a world-class service to a diverse range of clients across both the private and public sectors. The Quantity Surveyor will play an instrumental role in the delivery of a wide array of projects including the construction and refurbishment of residential and commercial offices, leisure projects, large scale master planning, retail, light industrial and specialist film studios.

As a Quantity Surveyor within my clients growing team in the South West, some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, manage and control project budgets, monitoring and reporting variances
  • Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates and cost plans through all RIBA stages
  • Provide advice on procurement strategies, prepare tender documents and negotiate and collate all contract documents
  • Deliver detailed cost reports and cash flow forecasts, manage change control, assess interim valuations and negotiate final accounts
  • Identify, assess and develop strategies to manage project risks
  • Work closely with all internal teams, clients and stakeholders
  • Provide support and guidance to junior members of the team


Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant field
  • Previous experience working in a clientside role or within a consultancy environment
  • Proven pre and post contract cost management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
