The client, is a well-established regional construction contractor they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a waste to energy project.

The project will be to work as a main contractor, using JCT and NEC contracts you will be the Quantity Surveyor on a project that will involve, piling, groundworks, 278 works a car park, steel frame building, cladding etc

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the financial and commercial management of projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Prepare, submit and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and reports.
  • Conduct risk and value management exercises, advising on procurement strategy.
  • Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Work closely with the commercial manager and project director to ensure project objectives are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and contract law.
  • Excellent negotiation and financial management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in relevant QS software and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualification
