Quantity Surveyor

We have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Bristol. The business is a privately owned contractor with a group turnover of circa 100mil. They undertake projects across a range of sectors including education, social housing, commercial and retail valuing up to 20mil. Projects are typically administered via JCT forms of contract and are a mix of competitive and negotiated tenders.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within the commercial team either managing one of the upcoming smaller projects or working with a senior surveyor on a larger scheme. You will be responsible for the project from the early procurement stages through to final account, monitoring progress closely alongside operational colleagues.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Involvement in pre-contract activities
  • Manage the procurement process of all sub-contractors
  • Deal with variations / valuations
  • Final account sub-contract packages
  • Collate information to contribute to monthly CVRs

Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Have experience working within a main contractor
  • Have experience administering JCT forms of contract
  • Live within Bristol and be happy to commute to office / site as required
  • Have the full right to work in the UK
