The "Quantity Surveyor" Role

As a Quantity Surveyor at Bray & Slaughter, you will be integral to ensuring the commercial success of their projects while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery, within a dynamic working environment that fosters innovation and supports professional development .

Your role will encompass preparing and analysing costs for tenders, conducting regular cost and value reviews, and managing subcontractor accounts and variations. You will be responsible for processing monthly valuations and final accounts, while providing commercial advice to project teams. Additionally, you'll monitor project costs, maintain cash flow, and negotiate with clients and supply chain partners.

Working closely with the Managing Surveyor, Will Bryant and the Managing Director, Grant Jefferies, this will be an excellent opportunity to build on your existing skillset in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualification, either RICS membership or on a pathway to the APC. You should bring proven experience in commercial construction and demonstrate a strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement. Excellence in negotiation and communication is essential, along with proficiency in measurement and cost management software.
