Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity
Our client, a leading company in the HTP sector, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in highways, civils or maintenance projects, to join their team based in the Bath and North East Somerset area. This role involves working on significant capital works projects, including the high-profile Bath/Bristol Capital Works, Highways Upgrade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing cost estimates for capital works projects
- Utilising NEC4, Option A contracts with a good understanding of schedular rates
- Collaborating with construction managers, programmers, and the estimating department
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to budgets
- Preparing, negotiating, and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
- Providing accurate and timely reports
Job Requirements:
- Experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the highways sector
- Understanding and application of NEC4, Option A contracts
- Experience with capital works projects or schemes upwards of 20 million
- Background in highways, utilities, rail, or property maintenance
- Strong pricing and estimation skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic team and manage multiple project deliverables
- Knowledge of industry-standard software and tools
