A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable and family-owned regional Civil Engineering contractor on a permanent basis. Abatec is a recruitment agency is assisting a reputable client that is well established in the South West.
Our client, involved in various earthwork schemes across the region, is looking to add to their established commercial team due to continued success and growth of the company.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Prompt presentation of all applications for payment, including all contractual entitlements.
- Ensuring that payments are received in accordance with the contract terms and correctly allocated with the Accounts department.
- Prompt presentation of Final Accounts, including negotiation of all contractual entitlements.
- Prompt presentation of weekly cost / value information, delivery schedules and associated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.
- Preparation and presentation of Monthly Cost/Value Reconciliations and Final Cost/Value Forecasts.
- Preparation and presentation of forward work schedules and cash flows.
- Procurement, negotiation and placing of Sub-contract and materials orders.
- Financial and commercial management of Sub-contractors through to settlement of their Final Accounts.
- Ensuring that all contractual letters/ notices and information are presented in accordance with the contract requirements.
- Regular review of site records to ensure timely and accurate preparation of appropriate documentation in support of additional payment, variations, claims etc.
- Commercial support to the site and contracts management team.
- Commercial support to the Estimating and Procurement teams.
- Overview and support of Quantity Surveyors under training as appropriate.
- Close liaison with the client on all commercial matters, including preparation and submission of supporting information and building/maintaining relationships
Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Tier 1 Civil Engineering contractor background.
- NEC 3 or 4 form of contract experience.
Salary and benefits include:
- 55,000 - 65,000 per annum
- Company car or car allowance
- 25 days Holiday entitlement
- Employer Pension contribution, sick pay etc.
