Senior Quantity Surveyor
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly regarded tier 1 main contractor based in Bristol. The business is one of the biggest privately owned main contractors in the UK, turning over circa 1bn and operating out of several regional offices across the country. Key project sectors include life sciences, industrial, education, commercial and student accommodation valuing up to 100mil. As a result of a succession of recent project wins, they're now looking to expand the commercial team.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As Senor Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a project from pre-construction through to final account, with the assistance of a more junior member of the surveying team. You will report into the Commercial Manager.
Key responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
- Oversee the project's procurement / management of suub-contractor packages
- Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
- Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development
Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position:
- Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
- Have experience working as commercial lead on sizeable schemes
- Have experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC
- Have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute to Bristol
