Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established contractor based in Bristol. Turning over circa 1bn, the business operates within the residential market with both private tenure and HA schemes. Projects are administered via JCT and NEC forms of contract and value up to 50mil.

About the role of Senor Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from planning through to completion, with a more junior Surveyor reporting into you. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time whilst maximising profits.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Work alongside the pre-construction team through pre-construction
  • Manage sub-contract procurement
  • Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
  • Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
  • Deal with final accounts
  • Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Hold a HNC or construction related degree
  • Have a proven track record of delivering schemes administered via JCT or NEC forms of contract
  • Extensive knowledge of civils packages is highly sought after
  • Have the full right to work in the UK
