The Role as a Transport Planning Analyst:

As a Transport Planning Analyst, you will:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret transport data to support planning decisions.
  • Use mathematical models and transport forecasting tools to assess demand and capacity.
  • Work on projects related to traffic flow, public transport, and sustainable transport solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including local authorities and private sector clients.
  • Produce reports and presentations with insights to inform transport strategies.

About You as a Transport Planning Analyst:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Excel, GIS, Python, R, or transport modelling software (e.g., SATURN, VISUM, or TRICS) is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
