The Estates Manager is responsible for the management and development of all premises within the Trust. The postholder has overall managerial responsibility for premises management, ensuring the premises team is organised to deliver a secure and compliant estate that facilitates outstanding education and prioritises the health and safety of students, staff, volunteers, visitors, and the wider community.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estates management. You will have overseen health and safety, have had budget responsibility, have lead projects and people management experience. Candidate who have worked within education are encouraged to apply.

The role-
*Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure regulations are met, conduct risk assessments, oversee emergency procedures, and maintain compliance records.
*Security Management: Oversee site security, access control, CCTV, alarms, and keyholder responsibilities.
*Project Management & Strategic Planning: Develop an estates strategy, oversee capital projects, ensure contractor compliance, and drive sustainability initiatives.
*Financial & Contract Management: Manage budgets, review contracts, oversee procurement, and maintain site standards.
*Team Leadership & Operations: Lead the premises team, oversee training, schedule maintenance, and support student work placements.
*Site Maintenance & Lettings: Ensure high standards across buildings, grounds, and facilities, while managing third-party lettings and vehicle maintenance.

The person:
*Experienced Estates Manager (ideally with an education background, though other sectors will be considered).
*Proven track record in health & safety leadership and compliance.
*Experience in project management and leading estates-related initiatives.
*Skilled in managing teams of caretakers or estate professionals.
*Strong background in budget management and cost control.
