We are expanding our experienced and friendly finance team of 4 due to expansion in business activity.This role is one of 3 roles we are recruiting to increase the team to 7. The team supports the running of the estate and delivery of projects, providing budgetary control and reporting to the senior management team to facilitate decision making. You will be part of the wider estate team, which includes c100 people.
The role will report to our Head of Finance. You will be office based from our beautiful setting in listed buildings and parkland with limited travel.Being motivated and willing to help other team members is the key to success.
Dodington Park Estate is on the boundary between South Gloucestershire and the county of Bristol. At the centre of the estate is Dodington House an 18thCentury Georgian mansion which is being used as a private home.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks
- Completion of month end processing (accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, journals)
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of differences
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and meaningful analysis and review of variances within management accounts for review by Head of Finance
- Prepare monthly and 10-year cashflow for review by Head of Finance
- Work with budget holders to prepare annual budget
- Support other team members when required
- Assist with vetting of new suppliers and ensure the accuracy and integrity of supplier data in the finance systems.
- Keep processes/controls under review to ensure effectiveness; suggesting improvements when identified.
- Support new system testing and implementation.
- You will also ensure compliance with H&S requirements.
Experience/Skills Required
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent
- Previous project or management accounting preferable
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Experience of Epicor is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams from finance to inhouse contractors/third parties.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
