  • Our Client is a rapidly growing distributor of specialty raw materials for the UK Coatings & Resins Industry, seeking a Technical Sales Manager for a home-based role with flexible location within the UK.

  • Candidates should possess a technical education to BSc level or equivalent industrial experience, with a strong background in specialty raw materials for the Coatings, Inks, Adhesives, and Resins sectors.
  • The position requires excellent communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to develop product formulations to meet customer needs, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • The salary for this full-time permanent role ranges from £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, with additional benefits including a company car, five weeks of holiday, pension, healthcare, and a bonus scheme.

Our Client is a fast growing distributor of speciality raw materials to the UK Coatings & Resins Industry.

They are now seeking a Technical Sales Manager Coatings & Resins. This position will be home based and location within the UK is flexible. The geographical territory is the UK and Ireland. This position is a full-time permanent role.

Job Purpose

  • Create and maintain a profitable and sustainable Business Unit, achieving annual sales and margin budgets
  • Develop long term business relationships with Key Customers and create unique and compelling sales propositions
  • Create, maintain and develop Supplier relationships to ensure a long-term positive contribution.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Sales

  • Develop Key Accounts
  • Flawlessly execute Sales & Marketing activities
  • Develop key markets: Coatings / Inks / Adhesives / Resins

Supplier Management

  • Communicate effectively with supplier partners (reports, sales figures, market information, product development)
  • Gather market intelligence
  • Ensure a robust supply chain (forecast, stock)
  • Cultivate new supplier relationships

Qualifications and Experience

  • Technical education to BSc or equivalent industrial experience
  • Commercially astute, technical salesperson with knowledge of the speciality raw materials and formulations for the Coatings, Inks, Adhesives & Resins manufacturing sectors.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of epoxy systems and formulating preferred.
  • Able to develop product formulations and identify and fulfil customer unmet needs.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Business acumen to identify, attract and develop new supplier partners.
  • A team player with a growth mindset and the drive to succeed
  • Actively engaged with Industry organisations
  • Determination, energy, tenacity, enthusiasm, loyalty

In return, our Client is offering a basic salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience. More may be available for an exceptional candidate), plus benefits which include an expensed company car, five weeks holiday, pension, healthcare and a bonus scheme.
