Job Overview: As a Roadside Technician, you will be responsible for attending customer appointments relating to vehicle issues. You will have good time management, perform on-site diagnostics, and offer solutions such as a DPF clean to get customers back on the road safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Diagnostics:Perform basic diagnostics to identify vehicle issues, such as blocked DPF’s, sensor issues, or fuel problems for example.Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle conditions.
- Repair and Service:Provide minor repairs on-site, including servicing, DPF cleans, sensor replacements, and other minor repairs.
- Customer ServiceCommunicate confidently and courteously with customers, providing clear explanations of the services being performed.Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and friendly service.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate records of services provided, including time of service, parts used, and customer interactions.Report recurring issues to management to improve service offerings.
- Safety and Compliance:Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and customers.Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working condition, adhering to company standards.
- Continuous Learning:Stay informed about the latest automotive technology and roadside assistance techniques.Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Automotive technical training or certification preferred.
- Previous experience in automotive repair, roadside assistance, or related field is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license (Checks will be carried out prior to job offer)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent social and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
