Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for building strong relationships and driving business growth? We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to help our client secure new business opportunities across The fire and security industry. This role offers the chance to take ownership of the sales process, from initial research to closing deals, all while contributing to the strategic growth of the company.



Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Proactively secure new business by generating appointments, researching prospects, and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to increase market share, ensuring a strategic understanding of new and existing customer needs.
  • Networking: Engage in networking activities to broaden your contact database, including attending events that may occur outside normal business hours.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead initial customer meetings, providing a knowledgeable and positive experience through well-prepared research and industry insights.
  • Service Proposals: Develop commercially and operationally sound service proposals, ensuring they meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Successfully negotiate contracts and close deals that meet revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Project Mobilisation: Coordinate contract mobilisation with clients and internal teams, ensuring a smooth transition from sale to operation.
  • CRM & Reporting: Track opportunities, forecast growth, and maintain accurate pipeline data within the CRM system, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Cross-selling & Internal Networking: Maximise cross-selling opportunities by collaborating with internal teams and operational colleagues.


What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in business development or a sales-focused role.
  • Strong research and market analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Confidence in managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
  • Experience with CRM systems and the ability to report on progress and forecast accurately.
  • Team player who can work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
