As a Business Development Manager Metalwork Fabrication, you will be joining an established firm who specialise in supplying sub-contract Laser cutting, CNC forming/bending, welding and fabrication to wide variety of industry sectors. The company has an exceptional reputation for quality and operates from a modern, well invested manufacturing facility.

Overview of Job Role:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the management of existing business accounts, developing new business accounts and the necessary customer services associated with sales order processing activities.

Job description:

  • Working within the sales team you will have the responsibility for planning, managing and interaction with both existing and new customer accounts within the marketplace.
  • Undertake the necessary research and market intelligence to ensure opportunities are generated, promoted and converted.
  • Liaise with the company's marketing activities to ensure the efforts are maximized within the marketplace.
  • Assist in the production of technical quotations associated with supply proposals.
  • Visiting customers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as per your personally developed call register to assess customer requirements and possible short, medium and long-term opportunities.

Person profile:

  • The ability to be technically and commercially astute within a sub-contract engineering environment.
  • Solid experience of Sub-contract Laser Cutting, CNC Forming/Bending, Welding and Fabrication
  • A sound proven record of servicing technically challenging industrial environment - eg automation, energy, automotive, rail, defence, construction
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain existing and build new relationships.
  • The ability to initiate customer contact and generate technical enquiries with a commitment to fol-low through to execution.

The role will suit individuals currently working as Business Development Manager Metalwork Fabrication, Sales Manager, Account Manager, Sales Executive, Sales Rep, Field Sales Manager and be living within a commutable distance of Bristol, Swindon, Stroud, Devizes, Trowbridge, Avon, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucester or be willing to relocate.
