The business predominantly sells 10-year structural defects insurance (structural warranties) to developers, builders and contractors, sourcing the most appropriate level of cover from a panel of providers, ultimately providing greater choice and transparency to the customer.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated Business Development Manager to join a highly driven, commission-focused sales team. You will be responsible for prospecting, and developing strong relationships with builders, developers and introducers, offering attractive terms and information relating to the different insurance products available.

The Role
Your main responsibilities will encompass:
- Engaging in targeted prospecting to unearth potential business opportunities;
- Building foundational knowledge of the market, industry trends, and competitor activities;
- Supporting the sales team in implementing strategic sales plans and achieving revenue goals;
- Assisting in the development and execution of promotional activates and lead generations campaigns
- Providing top-notch customer service to ensure client satisfaction and foster long term relationships
- Participating in negotiations and learning how to close business effectively
- Consistently striving to meet or exceed predefined sales targets and performance metrics
- Maintaining accurate records of all sales activates, client communications, and opportunities in the CRM system
- Representing innovative solutions at industry events, conferences and network gatherings.
Desired Skills & Experience of a Business Development Manager
Ideally you would have previous experience in a customer facing or sales role and be used to a target driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage in negotiations
- Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
- Self-motivation with a robust drive to succeed and achieve
- A good understanding of CRM systems, MS Office and other relevant software
- Resilience, a competitive spirit and a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
Basic Salary: 25,000+ (negotiable depending on experience and proven track record).
Uncapped earnings potential with commissions payable monthly.
