An opportunity has arisen within an established company based within the HVAC engineering and customer service industry who are now recruiting for a branch assistant to join their team. Based in the Emerson's Green area of Bristol, this position will be working full time Monday to Friday on a permanent basis. This opportunity will see you working within an upbeat and friendly team who work well with each other in a modern working environment. This will see you :


* Keeping up to date with all company products, training, sales initiatives, and promotions in order to effectively pass this information onto the customer.

* Accurately processing / picking order requests for all stock items ready for customer collection and/or ensure stock is loaded onto vehicles to ensure the product(s) is delivered on time.

* Building excellent working relationships, liaising professionally with colleagues, customers, and suppliers in person, by telephone and by email.

* Ensuring all customer requests, orders, and complaints are dealt with in an effective, accurate and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

* Preparing the branch trade counter and customer area to ensure the area is fully stocked, clean and tidy and presents the products in an effective way.

* Serving the customers at the trade counter in line with company requirements and standards.

* Raising sales quotations for the customer at the most competitive price from preferred suppliers and providing the necessary follow up call to complete the order.

* Effectively sourcing and ordering non-stocked items

* Ensuring stock levels are maintained to the prescribed levels for the branch and ensuring that the stock inventory is always correct. Actively participate in stock take activities throughout the year.

* Participate in the call-out rota, responding promptly and effectively to any urgent issues.


This position as trade counter assistant will have a need for an individual with confident customer service skills with previous experience working within a very busy environment where they have demonstrated the ability to prioritise work load. Time is of the essence with some jobs that will need to be carried out where your judgement on work load prioritising will be needed. This would be the ideal role for someone who has worked as a branch assistant, branch administrator or administrator. Trade counter or supplier based experience would be beneficial.
