We are seeking a passionate and experienced Art & Design Teacher to join our dynamic team. This full-time position involves teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students. The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching KS4 and be ready to take on a full teaching role, inspiring young minds with creativity and innovation.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare and deliver inspiring Art & Design lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring that each student is able to progress and achieve their potential.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Develop and enrich the curriculum with innovative teaching methods and resources that cater to a range of learning styles.
- Encourage students to explore their creativity and express themselves through various art and design techniques.
- Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment, and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
- Stay up-to-date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
- A degree in Art & Design or a related subject.
- A qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Art & Design at KS4 level.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art & Design.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching and the subject matter.
