We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join our vibrant school community. The ideal candidate will inspire students with dynamic teaching methods and a love for the performing arts. This school was last rated GOOD by OFSTED and is a wonderful place to work. This role is covering sickness from an operation recovery, and so no marking is required but some planning is alongside what the current teacher has left. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver inspiring drama lessons that engage and challenge students across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Direct school productions and support students in their performance skills.
  • Foster a love for the arts and encourage students to express their creativity.
  • Assess and record students’ progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate drama across the curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings and whole-school training events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching drama in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
