As a full-time SEMH teacher you will be required to plan and deliver lessons to national curriculum standards, complete all marking, attend staff meetings and potentially school parents evenings. You will also be required to mentor and guide the teaching assistant/s within the classroom. The ideal candidate would have experience working with SEMH students.
About the schoolThe School in the North Bristol area, supports vulnerable young people. Focusing on providing a safe, nurturing, holistic learning environment and they offer a curriculum to students that can be more flexible or personalised to individual needs. Each student has an EHCP. You will be supporting students with SEMH, ADHD and Autism. Through the staffs positivity and experience with behaviours, they provide a holistic student centred approach style of teaching, providing more specific and suitable interventions.
RequirementsTo be considered for the role of Full-Time SEMH Teacher you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status QTS or QTLS.
- Providing an inclusive, vibrant environment and deliver inspiring lessons.
- Have experience working with either with small groups or 1:1 with students who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who may have Special Educational Needs.
- Be able to adapt to different situations and use initiative.
- Be able to provide a safe and positive learning environment and have understanding of managing challenging behaviour.

Salary£120 to £240 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status QTS or QTLS.
- A desire to work within education and have relevant experience.
- Excellent daily rates paid weekly by our in-house Payroll team using the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system.
