We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team at a well-respected school in Thornbury. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematical background and a passion for teaching, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities. This teacher will be responsible for planning, marking, and run a year 9 tutor group. This will be reflected in the pay! Maths lesson will span across Yr 7 - 12, but if you don't have A Level experience that is fine, the timetable can be altered. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality maths lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop their problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to make maths accessible and enjoyable for all students.
  • Participate in curriculum development and work collaboratively with the maths department to enhance the overall teaching experience.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Proven experience in teaching maths at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to differentiate instruction.
