This summer we are recruiting cover Secondary Teachers to join our pool of casual staff, providing cover for both planned and unplanned staffing gaps in Somerset secondary schools across various subject specialisms. This is an excellent opportunity if you are an NQT looking to get some more experience, or you are seeking more flexible working arrangements.

What to expect:

  • We are seeking cover teachers for all subject specialisms
  • You will be provided with lessons and resources to teach, although you need to be flexible and adaptable

  • You will be covering short, medium and long-term absences as required sometimes at short notice
  • There will only be lesson preparation and marking if appropriate to the role - agreed prior

To be successful you will:

  • Hold a QTS qualification
  • Have previous experience as a teacher
  • Are committed to quality education and being a truly excellent teacher
  • Are passionate about teaching and learning
  • Can teach a range of engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve student attainment
  • Are flexible and have the ability to work, on a casual basis, when work is available
