Primary SEND/ SEMH Teacher   Bristol   £150 - £240 Per Day

Salary is dependent on experience, training and qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are QTS/ QTLS / Instructor experience within primary education phase within a school, PRU, AP or designated provision.

  An opportunity for a driven, confident and ambitious practitioner to shape students in the Bristol area. This school is accesible via car or public transport.   

The Role

We are seeking a teacher with a strong primary background, able to confidently deliver and adapt lessons to SEND and think on your feet, ideally one of these will be a core subject. You will be able to draw upon experience working with young people who have experienced challenges and may be harder to reach or require bespoke approaches and adapted teaching strategies. You should have high standards for yourself and your practice.

The school caters to young people between KS1 and KS3 who are living with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

As this is a new and growing provision it is likely that strong team working ablities will be needed to support its success; an ability to roll up ones sleeves and contribute to the success of the school and its smooth running. Opportunities for promotion may await as the provision grows.

Vision for Education is recruiting for this role. You may work initially via ourselves or may move directly to a direct employment contract from the outset. However we commence, the intention is that this role is a full time, substantive role to be filled.

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher or an experienced Tutor / Instructor with experience / ability to teach at least 2 subjects to GCSE level
  • Have demonstrable experience of supporting and achieving exceptional outcomes with learners from a range of backgrounds
  • Be an effective, motivated and driven staff member, with high standards and aspirations for your young people, delivering appropriate challenge
  • A calm, positive professional
