We work closely with a fantastic special school in the Yate area that are on the lookout for a full-time TA from January (can be flexible on start date). The school look after a wide range of special needs & disabilities which will often be complex needs.
The school are well established having operated at a very high level for a number of years and are well respected in the area. They are such a lovely team of staff at the school, TA's we have placed at the school previously have always wanted to stay on long term which is a good sign!
The role
The school have a couple of gaps currently so you would either be placed into a secondary or primary class. Both gaps will be supporting students with similar needs, it is essential that you have some form of experience working with SEND.
The role of Complex Needs Learning support assistant will be varied, so being adaptable is important. You must be used to a fast paced environment and challenging behaviour. You'll be ably supported by the class teachers as well as other permanent TA's.
