Long - Term Teachers have a fantastic opportunity to join a Pupil referral unit/ Early Intervention based in South Bristol. They work with pupils whose Primary needs is often SEMH supporting and guiding them with their next steps in education.

The school are seeking a dedicated, motivated HLTA, who is passionate about supporting students through a patient, caring approach. They are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming the student's learning.? Whilst HLTA experience and qualifications are beneficial, they also believe that the right personal qualities are more important. They will invest in the successful candidate and ensure that you receive the training and opportunities required for the role.

Your role will involve:

  • Supporting teachers in the classroom

  • Working with children 1:1 or delivering sessions with small groups of students

  • Managing classroom resources

  • Taking children on trips and visits

  • Having their lunch with children who struggle socially

  • Managing heightened behaviours and keeping children safe

  • Playing board games

  • Making amazing displays

  • Celebrating success

  • Part of therapy sessions or reflecting on difficult periods.

Commencing in November 2024, this will be a full time position, working Monday to Friday, term time only, between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm.
