Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Servicing:Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and testing of fire alarm systems, Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs), and emergency lighting in local authority and social housing properties.
  • Fault Finding & Repairs:Diagnose and rectify faults across fire alarms, AOVs, and emergency lights ensuring systems are operational and compliant with industry standards.
  • Client Liaison:Engage with local authorities, social housing clients, and tenants to ensure clear communication and provide professional service.
  • Health & Safety:Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Health & Safety guidelines, promoting safe working practices at all times.
  • Reactive & Planned Work:Undertake both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer, particularly within social housing and local authority sectors.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with fire alarm systems, AOVs, and emergency lighting.
  • Relevant industry qualifications, including FIA certification, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving license.
