Are you seeking a rewarding and dynamic career in security? We are looking for responsible and vigilant Security Officers to join our team, ensuring the safety and integrity of our site. Based in Bristol, with occasional support needed at our Gloucester premises, you will play a key role in maintaining site security, patrolling, monitoring CCTV, and managing access control for visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access Control & Monitoring:Control and manage access to the site/building, allowing entry only to authorised personnel. Use Access Control Systems and CCTV to monitor and manage activity on-site and in the surrounding area.

  • Patrolling & Surveillance:Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the site and buildings to ensure all areas remain secure. Perform random entry and exit searches and detect/deter unauthorised access, damage, or vandalism.

  • Alarm Monitoring & Response:Perform daily checks on alarm systems, monitor system health, and respond to on-site alarms. Escalate issues to the MDL Service Desk as required.

  • Incident Reporting & Escalation:Detect and report any security breaches or suspicious activities, including unauthorised entry, damage, or suspect packages. Ensure incidents are documented and escalated as needed in line with agreed procedures.

  • Team Support:Provide cover for other members of the security team when required. You will need to be flexible in covering shifts for absent colleagues and adapting to changing demands.

  • Customer Service:Ensure a customer-focused approach when dealing with visitors and staff, ensuring high standards of communication and professionalism.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience:Previous experience in the security sector is beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided, so candidates with a keen interest in security are welcome to apply.

  • SIA Licence & CCTV Training:An SIA Licence is required for this role, as well as being CCTV trained or willing to undertake the necessary training.

  • Skills:Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You will need to be IT literate and comfortable using access control systems, CCTV, and basic software for reporting.

  • Security Clearance:Successful candidates will be required to undergo extended DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance before employment.
