Join one of the UK's leading Tour Bus & Airport Transport providers, part of an award-winning global transport company. C9 Recruitment are looking for dedicated and organised Service Managers to ensure efficient and effective service provision and meet the company's business objectives, paying up to £21.65 per hour.

Service Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of operation and work performance, monitoring attendance, accidents, and sickness.
  • Promote positive working relationships within the team and with subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with the operator's licence and report any concerns to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Review and escalate health & safety policy concerns during regular depot patrols.
  • Ensure the nil defecting system meets legal requirements and vehicle defects are addressed.
  • Allocate driver duties in line with regulations, manage absenteeism, and use the Omnidas system for recording hours.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new employees.
  • Allocate vehicles, record mileage accurately, and ensure fuel records are maintained.
  • Conduct drug, alcohol, and eye tests as required.
  • Occasionally drive buses to cover driver shortages.
  • Work within the depot, office, and remotely, monitoring services at key points within Bath.

Umbrella Pay Rate - £21.65 per hour

PAYE Pay Rate - £17.04 per hour

Service Manager Requirements:

  • Valid UK PCV (Cat D) driving licence and CPC (DQC) Card.
  • 40 hours per week on a rota basis.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within transportation or logistics is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Ventrata and Ticketer is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of route optimisation software and GPS tracking systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
