About the role
We are looking for a passionate Deputy who is ready to take that next step. Join us and drive our mission to enable the people we support to achieve the extraordinary each and every day. Thesuccessfulcandidate will haveachievedor be working towardstheirLevel 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care and have gained somemanagementexperience.
You will possess apositiveand reliable outlook, be flexible to service requirements and able to take direction from the Registered Manager.
You will assist the Registered Manager and deputise for them in their absence, and leadyour team to provide extraordinary, person-centredsupport. You will ensure thesafety of the people we support, whilst giving choice, respecting dignity, and promoting independence. You will also celebrate the achievement of individual goals, however small or large,each and every day.
Working in partnership with the people we support, their families,our specialist teams, and external agencies, youll championskilfulinteractions, person-centredplanning and partnership working. You will plan and implement professionally designed support plans that genuinely improve the quality of everyday life.
Acting as a role model and mentor to the team, you will facilitate the use of collaborative working. This will include sound judgment, creative solutions to enable both them and the people we support to achieve individual goals and develop. Youwill manage staff performance, trainingand appraisals ensuring the team are equipped and motivated to deliver the best support possible.
To be successful in this role youll be truly passionate about the provision of exceptional and person-centred support. You will lead by example, with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop both your team and the people we support. You will be responsible for the quality of care and support delivered, both by yourself and your team. Always striving to do what is right by the people we support, toachieve extraordinary outcomes.
Experience of working with people who have learning disabilities, autism and/or visual impairment is also advantageous. In addition, you will be required to work flexibly to respond to the needs of the service. You will therefore be requiredon call to provide emergency support include evenings and weekends on a rota basis. Being able to drive, will be advantageous in this circumstance.
