Micklegate Fluid Power Ltd based in Keynsham, Bristol, are an engineering and supplies company representing a range of Globally recognised brands across a diverse range of industry sectors.

Due to continued growth and in line with our planned expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced workshop/field service engineer, we will also consider applications from newly qualified engineers looking to build on their existing skills and experience and progress their careers.

The position

Workshop/field service engineer primarily responsible for carrying out PPM, diagnostics, breakdown repairs and inspections/testing across a range of commercial vehicle mounted materials handling equipment. 40 hours + regular overtime.

Main duties/responsibilities

Carry out PPM, breakdowns, servicing, inspections and testing in compliance with Health and Safety policies/legislation and industry standards.

Ensure all work is completed to a high-quality standard.

Complete electronic job sheets and associated documentation accurately and on time to ensure we comply with contract/customer deadlines.

Possess a customer focused attitude and endeavour to achieve a first-time fix.

Observe and comply with industry standards, procedures and codes of practice when carrying out all duties.

Ensure your service vehicle is kept in a clean, safe condition and complies with current laws/legislation.

Manage and maintain stock levels on your service vehicle.

Qualifications

Relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications.

Experience

A multi-skilled engineer with experience in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems preferably gained on commercial vehicles, plant or similar equipment.

The person

Someone who strives to deliver high levels of customer service, you will have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own.

A good communicator with English language skills.

Hold a valid driving licence.

Training

Training will consist of on-the-job training, eLearning and manufacturer/third party training courses.
