The Role:

An outstanding Primary School in Bristol is looking for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or an experienced teaching assistant to gain valuable experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Behavioural Needs.

As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will work 1:1 with pupils who have learning difficulties such as Autism, mental health challenges, and behavioural needs. The role requires patience, confidence, and a proactive approach to managing behaviour and supporting students' emotional well-being. This role also provides excellent education and training opportunities for those looking to develop their careers in special education.



What We're Looking For:

  • A graduate with a degree (2:2 or above) or an experienced teaching assistant
  • Experience working with SEN children or managing challenging behaviour (desirable)
  • Strong behaviour management skills - restraint training is a bonus
  • A passion for supporting young people and their mental health
  • The ability to commit for the full academic year
  • Based in or able to commute to Bristol
