Temporary - 3 months initially - with long term opportunities after

Central Bristol - office based for first 4-6 weeks for training then hybrid working

37 per week - Monday - Friday

Tate are working with a local authority in their search for Placement Officers to work within their Children Services Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and matching suitable placements for all children and young people in Bristol who need: Foster Care, Residential Care or Semi-Independent provisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external providers, to contribute to the team understanding of our market position and placement sufficiency and provide update on progress of placements searches to Joint agency and placement panels.
  • Reading referrals and giving appropriate challenge to social workers when the referral does not contain sufficient information
  • Liaising with internal or external providers and stakeholders
  • Completing Individual Placement Agreements and statistical placement data
  • Negotiating fees for each placement
  • Managing a caseload of referrals
