School Support Worker

We are currently recruiting for a great school in the Bristol who are seeking supportive School Support Workers to join their amazing team ASAP. In this role as a School Support Worker, you must be comfortable carrying out personal care and support children with PMLD given the nature of the school.

The Role:

* You will be working 1:1 within an SEND role or with children in small groups* Demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skill* Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare* Carry out personal care* Handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding* Experience working with young people or SEND in any capacity

Requirements:

* You have experience with SEN in an education and training setting. * Be available to start ASAP (pending clearance)* Live in Bristol or within a commutable distance* You will be comfortable doing personal care given the severe needs of the children the school has* Must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
