Tate are working with a local authority in their search for Project Managers to support with their Adult Social Care Transformation project. The aim of the project is to identify opportunities to improve services and to undertake more detailed evaluation of each opportunity and scope the requirements for each project.

You would be involved in the next phase of the project, with key responsibilities including:

  • Reviewing the proposed target operating model for those who draw on adult social care services and the proposed model through the business case development and planning stages to deliver the required process redesign, and structure improvements and develop performance frameworks to embed change in everyday practice.
  • Develop business cases for the proposals that emerge from the evaluations and progress these through the decision-making processes
  • Establish and maintain appropriate governance for the project, including progress reporting to the project board
  • Updating and maintaining key project controls (e.g. plan, RAID log, budget management) using our project management software
  • Reporting progress to Transformation Programme Director of Adult Social Care

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Delivery of change within the Adult Social Care system, with an understanding of current related legislation.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively to varied stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver and lead change workshops/consultations to large audiences.
  • Significant experience of options appraisal and business case development.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement, including preparing tender and contract documents.
  • Ability to control budgets relating to allocated projects and achieve financial targets set out. This includes forecasting, monitoring, authorising, reviewing and controlling expenditure.
  • Experience in managing and securing relevant statutory, regulatory third-party and other approvals
