Driver / Labourer. An Avonmouth flooring firm need a Driver / Labourer to join the team. The Driver / Labourer will work in the Operations team and will assist in the warehouse, deliver materials and assist flooring teams with heavy lifting and other floor fitting assistance. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the official job title for this role is Operations Support Assistant.

The Driver / Labourer will:

1. Deliver materials to sites as and when required.
2. Attend site and help with the labouring tasks associated with installation of flooring.
3. To accept deliveries and ensure the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods
4. Assist fitters onsite with general labouring duties as required
5. Good communication skills
6. Ensure all work carried out is conducted in compliance with health and safety for anyone working in the warehouse
7. PPE - to actively follow and enforce the H&S policy to all visitors and staff
8. To be proactive in identifying work that needs to be done and working independently using initiative to ensure that working hours are maximised.
9. Undertake any other responsibilities that the Contract Manager considers reasonable to request of you.

The Driver / Labourer requirements:

Essential:

• Must enjoy working as part of a team
• Physically fit
• Common sense and basic numeracy skills
• Some relevant experience

Desired:

• Computer literacy
• Manual handling certificate - We will supply training if needed
• CSCS Card - We will supply training if needed
• Full driving license with max 6 points - Essential

The Driver / Labourer hours of work are Monday to Friday 7:00 - 15:30 (30 minute break)

The Driver / Labourer salary is 24k + pension, profit share and employee assistance programme.
