We are seeking a Benefits Advisor to join a Bristol based Housing Association. This role offers a blend of home and office working in Bristol, providing a dynamic work environment.


Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide budgeting and welfare benefit advice to customers, including completing Income and Expenditure statements, advising on benefits and grant applications, and signposting for additional support.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, such as Housing Benefit offices and the Department of Works and Pensions, as well as independent money, debt, or legal advice services.
* Ensure the best outcomes for customers by leveraging your knowledge of the benefits system and your experience in supporting vulnerable customers with kindness and empathy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Up-to-date working knowledge of the benefits system.
* Prior experience within a housing association / social housing
* Proven experience supporting customers in completing statements and applications.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners.
* Strong decision-making skills, diplomatic and confidential approach.
* Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
* Must have a car and full driving licence as travel is required for the role.
* A DBS check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
