Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) Nurses for block booking opportunities in Bristol. This role offers a chance to work in a fast-paced critical care environment, providing high-quality care to critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitoring Vital Signs
- Continuously assess and monitor heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate.
- Detect subtle changes in a patient’s condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
* Administering Medications & Treatments
- Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Adjust medication dosages to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes while minimizing risks.
* Airway Management
- Perform endotracheal intubation, suctioning, and ventilation support.
- Ensure airway security and optimal oxygenation for critically ill patients.
* Collaborating with Multidisciplinary Teams
- Work alongside doctors, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists to develop individualized care plans.
- Ensure holistic, patient-centered care through effective teamwork.
* Providing Emotional Support
- Offer reassurance and guidance to patients and their families during critical moments.
- Advocate for patient well-being and comfort.
Job Requirements
* Experience in ITU/Critical Care Nursing (minimum 6 months)
* NMC Registered Nurse with valid PIN
* Competency in critical care procedures and airway management
* Flexible with shift patterns
