Please make sure you demonstrate your skills and experience for this role in your CV and cover letter.The difference you will make as a Night Support Assistant (Supported Housing)This role is based at Jamaica Street Hostel in Bristol. This service provides emergency accommodation for customers aged 18+ who are experiencing homelessness, as part of Bristol City Council’s homelessness provision.Customers may have complex needs such as substance misuse, addiction, homelessness, trauma and behavioural, physical and mental health needs.Working collaboratively as part of a committed team to deliver an outstanding service during the night. You will assist the support team in putting customers first and empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations which will include a range of tasks that contribute to the safe and effective delivery of the day-to-day service.About youWe are looking for someone with:
  • An understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs including personal experience of homelessness, rough sleeping, mental health issues or substance misuse
  • Experience of working in a team and communicating positively with other people 
  • Ability to organise tasks and plan accordingly whilst dealing with people
  • Basic administrative and IT skills maintain records
  • Experience of working with vulnerable and diverse customer groups or individuals with complex needs would be an advantage
