  • Offering emergency and short-term accommodation for young people who are experiencing or being threatened with homelessness
  • Provide waking nights cover at an accommodation-based service for 16-25 year olds
  • Working closely with other Teams across the service to provide different levels of practical support to young people
  • Carrying out welfare checks and inspections to ensure the health, safety and security
  • Listening to people who need to talk.
The Candidate:
  • Experience in supporting people with various needs and backgrounds.
  • A good understanding of young people’s needs, safeguarding and emotional and mental health issues with an element of resilience
  • Understand risk assessing and risk management.
  • Having the ability to apply common sense to situations, whilst being accountable for decisions made and reasons behind them.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Using own personality to build relationships
  • Experience interacting with young people but also being alert to changes of risk and needs
