Trainee Social Value Coordinator

A leading privately owned contractor based in the southwest is seeking a Trainee Social Value Coordinator to join their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a family-owned business with an extensive background as a reputable contractor. The Trainee Social Value Coordinator will play a key part in the development and future of the business, reporting directly to the Social Value Manager.

About the role of Trainee Social Value Coordinator

This Tier 2 contractor traditionally specialises in high end education, health care & industrial new builds, refurbishments & extensions valuing up to 30M across Wiltshire, Bristol, Bath, Glastonbury & Berkshire for private and framework clients. The role of Trainee Social Value Coordinator will oversee up to 6 sites across the counties ranging in value, size and duration.

Responsibilities for Trainee Social Value Coordinator

  • Support the pre-construction team with their social value compliance and CSR aspects for bids
  • Collaborate with clients, local authorities, third sector organisations, procurement teams and supply chain partners to support and deliver social value commitments
  • Develop and manage relationships and engagement opportunities with local schools, colleges and community groups

Requirements for Trainee Social Value Coordinator

  • Previous experience within the construction industry is desired but not essential
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of working for a public sector organisation would be advantages
  • Personal desire for learning, progression, development and improvement
